I was listening to the song Friends Will Be Friends by Queen earlier and for some reason the friendship of Dean and Cas popped into my head. And then the idea came along. So I wrote it.
I dunno, I liked the idea. :)
And if you're familiar with the song, you will notice that I incorporated some of the lyrics into the story for fun.
I'm just super excited that I finally had an idea as was able to write again :D
