This story has stupidity, student suffering, and suppressed emotions. It follows Lachlan Mills, a 17 year old boy, as he struggles with his last year of high school, expectations, sports (mainly AFL), friendships, feelings, and a whole lot of idiocy. This is set in Australia so I'll defo put glossaries at the end of each chapter in case you don't know what something means. There's a lot of bad language in this, it's pretty realistic for Aussie high schools though so sorry in advance. There are some serious themes like mental health, but a solid amount of humour too. Also this is technically bl, it'll take a while to get there tho but trust. (I will edit this when i figure out the extent of everything this story covers.) Also i migth change this to mature age rating later. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel.
