Bay Locke escaped from Gallifrey's war where all the Timelords (except the Doctor) died. She was a baby, and all she had was a TARDIS, a sonic pen, and a bit of luck. Instead of landing on the orphanage steps like her parents intended her to when they let her go before the war began, she spent around 900 years orbiting in space, unconscious, and not aging, until she reached Earth looking like a six-year-old.
Now, in modern-day Boston, she grows up somewhat normally as a thirteen-year-old girl with adoptive parents, although she has unexplainable nightmares that could only be of the war on Gallifrey, and only feels whole looking up at the stars. During summer break, she travels on the TARDIS through space and time.
But what happens when she meets the Doctor and learns of her heritage? Read "The Escaped Timelord" to figure it out!

I studied hard to try to capture each Doctor's personality as they speak and interact, although I do admit that having a cast of 28 causes several characters to get lost within the dialogue. I made this as canonically correct as possible, pulling each Doctor and his corresponding companion from episodes to make this possible, but if you catch me in an error... I claim AU! Ha ha. It is for all intents and purposes a Capaldi episode, within his first season, long before Face the Raven. This is a Doctor Who fanfic for superfans only, as the entire first section only describes each Doctor by his attire, so you have to guess which is which by their apparel and companions. If you aren't familiar with each and every Doctor, this story will get very confusing. That being said, I hope you enjoy!Complete

This young girl quickly got the attention of Emily, who was curious about why Emily seemed to be by herself. The young girl's mother also found this to be a curious sight, if not a little alarming. Upon the young girl's mother's quick conversation with Emily, they quickly found out that Emily had no clue as to where she was, who or even where her parents were, Emily didn't even know who she was. As such, the young girl's mother did the only reasonable, logical, thing...they took Emily with them and also called the police to let them know that she had found a little girl who appeared to be lost. Six years later, Emily's life appeared to be coming together quite nicely...until she met a mysterious stranger who quickly shook her world to its foundations. Instead of the stories she very much liked to read, she was now living a wonderful, mysterious, exciting adventure of her own. It appeared to be everything she had ever wanted...if not completely safe. This is a Doctor Who fanfic, mainly centered around the Ninth Doctor.Complete

I am choosing to be creative through this story and some characters may not appear purely because that's the way I've written it. I also have no hate at all for our girl Rose, she is and will always be my favourite companion, but I was inspired to write a story like this. So the Doctor does not meet Rose in this story, but instead embarks on a journey where this companion has some interesting surprises in store.
