The walls where stained white, as though they used to be a different color before someone cleaned them. Scrubbed them free of their sins. The air was heavy with the smell of medication and cleaning alcohol. The restraints that bound me to the table, bit into my bloody arms as I laughed. My vision blurred and I screamed for help. They said they would help me. They said they would make me better. They said I could go home soon. They lied.

They took me when I wasn't prepared, they grabbed me in my sleep. My father waved goodbye through the window as the two men dragged me into their van. The neighbors came out to see what was wrong. I screamed at them to help me. They turned away. Everyone in my life has turned away from me.

The threw me onto a bed and waited for the sleeping medication to kick in.

You are not normal, you will never will be normal. You are insane. You can never be cured. You are cursed to spend the rest of your life here. You may think it doesn't sound bad but this place has a secret. Deep in the basement, where the screams of you filthy patients can never be heard"
