Megan didn't grow up like any other typical kid, for her first six years Megan and her mother lived on the streets, under bridges, in alley ways, and abandoned buildings. That all changed when a strange man entered their lives, her mother soon married the man. He gave them luxury, shelter, food; everything, but not without a price. Megan had witnessed her mother being physically abused by her stepfather, but the thing that scarred her for life was what he did to her after her mother went to bed. When Megan's mother died of cancer when she was nine, things grew worse, her stepfather forced himself on her every night after work, he'd take pictures of her bare, and made her do things. It wasn't until she was ten when he was arrested for drug trafficking that she finally got free from her nightmare; at least, that's what she thought.

Now, she's fifteen and lives in an orphanage with ten other girls. She's bullied on a regular basis, the girls at the home make fun of her style, call her names, physically attack her, and more. The only way she handles the pain is by inflicting harm on herself, she only eats two meals a week, and rarely keeps it down. At school she continues to get bullied by kids, they mock her slow learning abilities. Nearly everyday she's in trouble, teachers have done everything they can to change her behavior, nothing works. She's too troubled.

But what happens on the day Demi Lovato finds a way into her life? Can the pop star, that Megan's never heard of, save her from herself. Or is she a lost cause?
