Just a Bit of Both

The last thing I remember was taking a bullet to the chest.

Then darkness.

I woke up in a beautiful field, filled with tulips and flowers of all kinds. The sun made everything in sight shimmer and glow. However, while there was beauty, there was also darkness.

Shadows danced by the trees, and birds made chilling calls. Where was I?

"Congratulations, you're dead."

Well I guess that answers my question.

Jade Alahari is a 20 year old who works at a small coffee shop in his little town. Nothing exciting ever happened there. It was as normal as things can be.

However, after one unlucky night that is unknown to Jade's memory, he wakes up in a field where both light and dark mixes. Throughout his journey, he soon finds that this new world is more similar to our own world than we might think.
