After the fallout from the X-Men's era, mutants are hunted, feared, and forced into hiding. Seina, a twenty one-year-old telepath and telekinetic, knows the pain of betrayal all too well. Cast out by her own family when her powers were exposed, she finds solace and solidarity in an abandoned district near Seoul, joined by a small band of fellow mutants, including the fiercely protective Chan, inventive Jisung, and resourceful Changbin. Their fragile peace is shattered when Seina's brother, Hyunjin, reappears with his companion Jeongin, both bearing the scars of their harrowing escape from the Authority's facility.

Just as old wounds begin to heal and bonds strengthen, a whole new threat begins to materialize: a clandestine group of mutants has infiltrated the government, masquerading as the Authority. Their sinister plan? To overthrow the current regime and wipe off the non-Gifted in a ruthless attempt to seize power. Caught between the Authority's oppressive regime and the rebels' violent rising, Seina and her friends must decide where their loyalties lie. In a heart-pounding mission to prevent a catastrophic war, they discover the true meaning of heroism, the delicate balance between peace and annihilation and the power of making their own luck in a world determined to break them.
