"Percy?" Annabeth said, looking at him in concern, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," he breathed, "I just-"

Percy's sentence cut off as he felt all the blood drain from his face. He felt his stomach lurch menacingly, and he shrugged off Annabeth's hands from his shoulders and flashed out of the room in an instant, leaving them there wide eyed. Within a single second, Percy went from the living room to the bathroom, where he proceeded to empty his contracting stomach.

"Percy?!" he heard Frank and Jason call from the living room, and he heard footsteps thumping.

It didn't take them long to find him. He hadn't even had time to close the bathroom door. Within a minute, the two of them were standing in the doorway, looking at him in confusion as he violently emptied his stomach into the toilet.

The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from unrequited love, where the patient's throat will fill up with flower, they will then proceed to throw, and cough up the petals, (sometimes even the flowers). One of the only ways for the disease to 'disappear' is if, the said person returns the feeling (it can't be resolved with friendship, it has to be genuine feelings of love). The infection can also be removed through surgery, though the feelings disappear along with the petals. If they choose neither options, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually suffocate.
