David Orson returns to his hometown of Hephaestus City after an impressive run at the American Duel Monsters National Championship, where he ended up placing fourth. However, it's not long before he find himself and his friends wrapped up in the schemes of a strange technocratic cult that has dug it's roots deep into his city. He's left with no choice but to fight back in the only way he knows how and, for reasons unknown, the only way this cult is willing to. It's time to duel. This is essentially a brand new Yu-Gi-Oh series, with a new hero, a new supporting cast, a new setting, new villains and new cards.
