I could not have predicted that it was exactly this, the shell I lived inside, that would one day cause Darth Vader to pull me into his world, one of deceit, violence, and...love? Even Anakin couldn't have known that he would remove the scales off of my shell, little by little, until I was standing before the Empire with nothing to hide behind. But as I stood in the light, it is the appearance of my own shadow that was least expected.
