Grand things were expected of her, the title of youngest commander, and a royal wedding to the man whom she loved dearly. One mistake. Treason, traitor, her titles stripped away, the love of her life taken from her, all from one mistake.
Two years of pain and suffering. A new life on the run. Finally free from a cage of stone, Amara must face the reality that she is now alone. She hides herself, not only for the sake of others, but to hide who, what she has become. No, to hide the scars that were singed into her skin by the flames of jealously.
Anyone who befriends her is in danger, their life on the line, and if anyone truly learned who she was, they would be killed by the fire lord himself. They, like her would be labeled as a traitor.

The Avatar and the Fire Prince
Nearly a century after the last appearance of Sozin's Comet, Fire Prince Zuko, freshly burned and banished by his father at the young age of thirteen, discovers a strange boy frozen in an iceberg. When Admiral Zhao interferes with Zuko's plans to deliver his prisoner back to Royal Caldera City, to Zuko's surprise, the young Avatar offers to help him and his uncle escape. They take refuge from the Fire Navy in the abandoned Air Temples, where Aang insists on searching for any remnants of his people that he can find. Along the way, the indoctrinated Fire Prince at last begins to learn the truth about the Air Nomads and the War, while the Dragon of the West is forced to face the sins of his warmongering past. As the months go by, the two boys eventually form an unlikely friendship, and Zuko begins to experience confusing feelings that he has never felt for anyone before. However, Zhao will not give up easily, and will do whatever it takes to capture the Avatar and his traitorous accomplices.
