At least that was until his eighteenth birthday where he has the most bizarre encounter. A break-in at his own home from an organization that holds a secret from the entire world! Now, he attempts to find his life's purpose, coming across many friends as well as enemies, many obstacles, great pain, deep love, and important life lessons. It's up to him to decide whether or not he's the one in control of his own life.

• This book is written from the first-person point of view. Everything he thinks about; everything you read, will be the exact moment of everything that's happening. When Nathaniel gets cut off and interrupted, his thoughts will be interrupted as well.
• I'll put seven periods to indicate a change in the scene; to show that time has passed since the last scene.
• Bolded names are important characters to Nathaniel and the story
• This book contains vulgar and sometimes erotic descriptive language.
• This book is targeted toward a young adult audience.

With Nathaniel's hand wrapped around Ellari's throat, his body pressing her against the door of his office. His eyes were practically burning though her soul, if that was even possible. "That man doesn't even deserve you," he spat, anger and possessiveness in his tone of voice. "You know it. I know it. Even your sister knows it, and so does your kingdom. I may not deserve you, but I can treat you better than he can." The way he acted, it didn't terrify Ellari. But it made her feel overwhelmed with emotions that even she didn't know how to describe herself. All she could do was make those sniffing sounds while she was in tears. "Prove it," she stated, her voice rough with emotions. The moment she said those words, she immediately regretted them. But it was too late. Too little, too late. She already said them. However, Nathaniel was grateful she said that. I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up.
