In this post apocalyptic world, scientists thought what they were doing was creating life. Instead, they only created death and destruction. The dead were coming back to life, with a hunger for the living.
Orphaned Rayne Myagko abandons her hometown after everyone was lost to the aptly named Zombie Virus. After defending herself on the road for five solitary years Rayne is losing hope and her sanity, until she finds one man who may be her only chance for salvation, Donovan Ward.
As Rayne and Donovan fight off the living dead to protect each other, they rediscover emotions buried deep within themselves. The longer they are together, the more agonizing losing each other becomes, and the harder they fight to survive.
