Jason Myers was a criminal. Society marked him like they do to every other person who was just a little different from them.

Lavender Wes is like a saint. She was also marked by society, but why would one ever mark someone pure of heart? Just because you think a little differently? Because you do things differently? Because you believe in different things?

Society is a nasty place where actions define who you are, and judgment is a must. For Jason, it is horrible and cruel to him; however, for Lavender, it means nothing to her. The two live in different worlds, but one thing makes them similar, they're both marked by society.
