Natsu was banished from the Guild Fairy Tail after an incident with Gray Fullbuster who was almost killed by him, Natsu ran away from Magnolia, passed the forest and into the mountains and was never to be seen again.

2 years later Lucy, Gray, Juvia and Ezra accepted a quest to take down a beast that attacks civilians and animals that comes into contact with it. After travelling to the mountains, what they found was no Beast, but a demonic being of a half human and half dragon with a dark aura leaking from it.
