The past does not always stay in the past.
Nicolette Beaulieu, by clumsy curiosity, discovered the journal of the ancestor from whom she is descended, Nicolette Donnadieu, otherwise known to Paris as the L'oiseau chanteur silencieux (The Silent Songbird).
From the Songbird's days of gloom to her nights spent in glory, the Songbird has mapped out her entire existence from 1864 and on in the folds of a single journal, her only means of escaping the bright lights and public appeal. And the ghostly legend.
Unfortunately, there is more to her story than what lies within the pages. The story of the songbird remains incomplete, and yet the family has carried on this far in the world.
With the knowledge of a curse on the family, a mission to return pride to the family name, and the Songbird's known relation with the legendary Phantom of the Opera, Nicolette Beaulieu must venture into the realm of the phantom's domain and find anything relating to her disappearance. And perhaps meet a few friends along the way, and an old enemy.
