Surviving an apocalypse isn't easy noir is it fun, that is unless you have skill, unfortunately for Mariah ,skill was the one thing she didn't have, well not really the only thing, if you include athleticism, knowledge  towards killing a flesh eating dead person, knowledge toward not getting eaten by a dead person, and basically any type of ability to not face death.

Mariah isn't alone. She  she still has her little brother to look after ,which was alot easier to do when her older cousin Carter was still around, but he isn't ,and God knows where he went off to.

Mariah thinks she's a goner until she meets ?, A guy who refuses to admit his name, who also has really bad attitude.

Will she be able to make it through the apocalypse fiasco, or will it be the end for both Mariah, and the hope of ever going back to the life she once knew?

The Darkness in the Light by djscloud
25 parts Complete
For over a hundred years, humanity has lived in fear of the monsters that roam the streets, lurking in the drains below. Women and their daughters hide, protected in their homes, while men take their sons through the world, teaching them the responsibilities of having a family to feed and dangers to avoid. No one leaves the home unless it's essential, and most of the world prefers it that way. Until one girl spends her days perched on her window seat, looking down at the world below and dreaming of a different life. Her eyes are always drawn to the dark, ominous drains in the street, the ones that often blink open to swallow and person whole. One day, that person is her little brother, snatched right in front of her from their arms of their father and gone forever. When a person is snatched, they never return, and life goes on without them. But she can't accept that. Breaking all the rules, all the things she's ever known, she braves the world outside her little townhouse and goes on a mission into the darkness to find her brother. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!
FIRE & ICE: 90 Days of Hope by TheButterflyWarrior

Hope Young is a 23 year old, living in LA. She's a selfish, self absorbed and cold-hearted person. She loves having the money, the clothes and the big house. At least that's what she tries to make everyone think, though the truth is, it's all just an act to stop anyone from getting close. But the question is; will she ever take that mask off and be the warm-hearted person she really is? What happens when someone comes knocking on Hope's door; disguised as an innocent school girl, only for Hope to do what she always does and treats her just like every other person and slams the door in her face. Except what Hope didn't know is that this 'girl' isn't just any ordinary girl, in fact, she is a powerful witch and her name is Karma and she loves to find people like Hope to teach them a lesson; in hope to either change them or break them. Hope didn't realise that the moment she slammed that door shut on Karma, was the moment her entire world would forever change as she gets pulled into the supernatural world that she never knew existed. Once the witch curses Hope, she gives her 90 days to prove that she can be selfless, compassionate, fearless, loving, open, honest and most of all, forgiving and accepting, but in doing so, she will have to face all that she's been running from for the last 6 years, which means that she'll have to face what changed her into the closed off person that she became in the first place and with each bad thing that she does from day one will have a karmic consequence. If she succeeds and becomes who she is destined to be by the final day, then the curse will break, but if she fails, she will die and the witch will entrap her soul for all eternity. Will Hope survive Karma's curse and will she be able to cope with what she faces along the way, including the shocking truth about herself and those around her? She may have 90 Days of Karma but with the help of her friends, each one starts to slowly get taken over by Hope.

( discontinued to be rewritten ) Huntingtown was panicking; no one knew where the sirens were coming from. There was no electricity, and there was no way for the storm Sirens to be sounding, yet they were. The entire Town was awake; everyone had a weapon. They had grabbed guns, knives, swords, and bats if they could be wielded and used for self-defense; Renee aimed her rifle at the trees, looking desperately for an explanation. Why would a siren sound? They only sounded when they were in Danger, so where was the Danger? When the predators revealed themselves, that was where the siren noise was coming from. Renee could feel her heart jump into her throat. Her face went pale; they were here. They had found the Town. Terror and panic soon swept Huntingtown; everyone knew what those monsters could do. After all, they did conquer the planet and impose the "choosing." Huntingtown was created hoping that its isolation in a cold climate would keep the Predators away, but it didn't. A voice came over those speakers. A male voice Gruff and laced with a growl. It was almost as if whoever was speaking was annoyed and angry. "Although I have enjoyed seeing your little Town outmaneuver many hunters. I am afraid this is where your little games end. However, I will give you a chance to keep your freedom. A hunt. You will be red by your best hunter, Renee Madison." Renee felt her blood go cold as she stared wide-eyed at the ship. She was unknowingly dropping her gun at the news. " she will be your leader; she will be my prize. You have a time advantage. Go!" The ship took off, looking for a place to land, all while the news sank into the Town's residence. Renee had known she had fucked up when she fired at one of those predators and hit him. She had proven herself worthy of the hunt. Now she has to face the consequences, not only her but her entire Town had to. Renee had to win this hunt; the fate of her Town depended on it.
