She who never believed

"I'm falling"....he said after that long awkward pause.
she laughed and said "my bed's the comfiest place in hell how can you fall down from it?"
he let out a nervous chuckle and continued"for you" he finished looking back down at his feet on the bed.
she froze for a moment
"everything that falls brakes"she mumbled loud enough for him to hear.
And left.

And never looked back...
