Lana Danforth has long been one of her father's biggest supporters in the U.S. Senate. At only 19 years old, she's worked on his communications team as a creative developer, given speeches at his campaign rallies, and even been a de facto advisor for him while in office. A career politician, Bradley Danforth couldn't be prouder of Lana, and he has often told her that she's the good luck charm that keeps him in office. However, this year, Bradley's incumbency looks as though it's under legitimate threat from newcomer Carter Manafort. The 31-year-old military veteran rose through the ranks of the State Senate alarmingly fast, and now he has his eyes on Senator Danforth's U.S. Senate Seat. Opinion polls show that Carter is set to steal a large chunk of Bradley's usual voting bloc, especially female voters. Being quite the handsome charmer, Carter looks to rise in the spirit of John F. Kennedy, with a campaign where being tall, dark and handsome can be enough to steal the election. Lana is determined not to let Carter's good looks and charisma be the things that force her father out of office, and like any good campaign staffer would, she immediately begins the task of opposition research. To her fortune, Lana discovers that Carter's reputation as a womanizer might be enough to bring about some negative press. However, as she dives deeper into Carter's world, and it leads her to meet him on the dance floor of a charity ball, Lana comes face to face with just how charming the young politician is. Will her allegiance to her father be shaken?
