Její hnědé, většinou jemně vlnité vlasy, byly působením slané vody zkroucené a zacuchané. Onen oděv byl potrhaný a ušmudlaný.
Ticho, které panovalo na tomto pustém místě, bylo až strašidelné.
Hluboký kašel se rozlehl do ticha. Zvedl se a rozhlédl se kolem sebe. Pláž, nikde nic jiného, než písčitá, rozlehlá část této země, nebo kde se to nacházel. Možná se mu to jen zdálo, ale zahlédl osobu. Byla to dívka. Její oděv byl stejně špinavý, jako jeho. Zamyslel se s nadějí, že zjistí, co se stalo.
Bouřka, nespoutané vlny, křik, ale především náraz.
Už nebylo třeba více myšlenek. Všechno to do sebe zapadalo, jako nedokončená skládanka.
