tyler joseph's fears surround him constantly, and he doesn't know how to handle them. things only get worse when his mother dies suddenly and he's forced to deal with his emotions.

but he's woken up somewhere different.
tyler's in a place where the world's on fire and he doesn't feel so broken.

joshua dun can't talk. physically, he can, but his anxiety overwhelms him to the point where it's hard to form a proper sentence. things get progressively worse for him when he comes out as bisexual to his parents, and he winds up unconscious and bruised on the floor of his bedroom.

that's when he wakes up in a different world. one where he doesn't have to be so afraid of everybody.

both boys know they can't stay awake forever, but maybe they can help each other gather the strength to go back.
