This is a chapter-by-chapter read following the life of Maria, a college girl slowly healing from a trauma revealed and pieced together as the chapters go by. It follows her struggling with the anxiety, trust issues, and depression that have plagued her since it happened, all while beginning to embrace herself with the help of her boyfriend Cole and her vivid group of friends.

A fictional take on real events and people in my life. I guess this is my version of a diary, writing is theraputic and this helps me find connections and how this trauma impacts my day to day life in ways that I otherwise could not

This is pretty Much my journey of facing depression. Since highschool. Till today. Writing is definitely one of the harmless methods i use to let it out. I think describing emotions is not an easy thing. Sure we have words for it: adjectives and such but to be able to portray my feelings in the sense where I am able to induce what I am feeling into you readers out there is in my sense, challenging. For every question WHY You were my BECAUSE Anxiety. Depression. Panic Attacks. A small touch of Haphephobia. After years of abuse and sadness, Charlotte finally puts her past behind her and starts over. She finds a new job, a new group of friends, and Axel; life can't get any better. She can finally breathe. She starts to experience happiness and love, but her past keeps coming back to haunt her, showing up at the worst moments and taking her happiness away. She's thrown back into it face first; the drugs, the gangs, the ex that she promised wouldn't lay a hand on her again... Being alone is all I've ever known. "Let me prove it to you." His words sound like a promise, and I gulp, my eyes finally finding his. I find myself wanting to believe him. Wanting to trust him.
