The day the Freedom War ended was the day Essie of Kishare died. As the daughter of the man who started the war, Essie is exiled into Bansia, a nation which has gained independence from Lerean. With news of her return circling Lerean, Essie is pitted against her another old friend Eiden, who is adamant that she is not to be trusted. But when magical occurrence start shaking the ground they walk on, the three are bound together, confronting their pasts, to make sure Lerean and Bansian have any future at all.
