"Scowling, I notice that I can smell Tyler again and that his scent is unfortunately even more alluring than it was this morning. What is up with these humans? Why do they have to smell so good that you just want to have a go at them? That is totally unfair."

Chloé is a demon - an immortal creature that has to take over human bodies to stay alive. Since she spent the last 200 years running from demon hunters, her affection for humans is understandably very much limited. 
But when Maxim - her partner in crime and love of her life - fails at his latest transition and vanishes, she has no choice but to go searching for him with the one person she dislikes the most: Tyler, a nescient, nerv-racking boy who is 100% responsible for Maxim's extinction. 
And things get even more complicated when Chloé discovers that the one person she cannot stand may be the only one who is able to save her soul...
