Pepper Jackie and Sweet T used to be madly in love; but over the last few months, Sweet T's alcohol addiction has been getting worse, and it's caused him to become even more abusive to her. But now, he's finally crossed the line, and P.J's had enough.

P.J.'s best friend Jake helps with her recovery while Sweet T is dealing with police allegations, and soon enough, it sparks.

A while later, P.J. finds out that Jake was rushed to the E.R. after a freak accident. Jake slips into a coma and P.J. falls into a deep depression, resulting in her o.d.ing on her meds.

Jake wakes up and finds out about P.J and the little secret the doctors learned when they were checking her vitals.
