It's 1851. Elena Davenport born and raised in North Carolina, is in one of the most well known families. She has reached the age of 17, where her parents have now arranged a marriage with none other than Mister William H. Styles of the Styles' family, one of the richest, come down from England. She's always been polite and abided by the rules, but after meeting Will's brother, Harry, at a party at the Biltmore, she's not so sure she wants to be perfect anymore.
Nor does she want to marry arrogant William, but it's what her parents want for the family.
