My life was so normal once. I was a kid living in the middle of suburbia. I had two boring parents and a rather spoiled springer spaniel that my mother called my brother. I went to a private school where I knew all of my classmates and they knew me. I had a crush on a cute boy and practically lived at my best friend's house. My life was boring and predictable. My only worries were memorizing the latest cheerleading routine and figuring whether or not my crush liked me.

The worst part? That would have to be a tie between not realizing how lucky I was and being naive enough to believe that my life was normal. In reality my life was like a game of jenga. It could keep lagging on forever with nothing exciting happening until the day that someone pulled out the wrong brick and everything came tumbling down.

I guess I was "lucky" that fate stepped in and got my mother a teaching job on an Army Base in Japan when the dust finally settled and the life I had known was gone.

It turns out that picking up the pieces of your broken life is not as easy as one would imagine. What else was I supposed to except pick up the pieces and move them away far away so that I could start over again?

Long hours and travel away from her father. As these young women discover that achieving dreams is often erratic, and drama is as inevitable as adulting, the foundation of their friendship begins to crack, putting their sisterhood to the test [word count: 90,000-100,000 words]
