The first thing that ruined everyone's life was the government disappearance. The moment the government disappeared and fled for safety, the illegal laws became legal in the eyes of all citizens. No president. No government. No office. No rules.
The second was betrayal. Families betrayed. Friends. No more alliances. No one to trust with your life.
The third was drafts. Men 18 and over were drafted into the war. All of them. Families were left alone to fend for themselves when chaos took over.
The fourth was disease. Sickness. Whether it was mental, or physical, it took over everyone. Some were immune to it, others were in deep. The cause: radiation. The effect: apocalypse.
The fifth was disaster. Fatal, but all natural. No one seemed to understand why at this moment in time there had to be hurricanes, tornadoes, eruptions, earthquakes, and any other fatal disaster. No way to stop it. Everyone had to fight for their lives everyday.
The sixth was mourning. So many deaths. So much mourning and grief. You are forced to continue in life in order to survive. Some continue so they can survive and hopefully live peacefully afterwards. Others decide to join those they mourn.
The final was post war. Some people dealt differently than others. Dead bodies were everywhere. Mourning was what stopped people from trying to clean up the mess. Some people got diseases from the pollution. The environment was bad. No one knows what they're supposed to do now.
They had to reinvent everything. They had to figure out their new lives.

The Virus Within: The Unranked (Book 4)

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
