"Leave me alone!" I was crying now, but she just took my hand and smiled, her cold claws digging into my palm. Had she had claws before? I couldn't remember.
"Eva, you'll never be alone. We're a part of you." She was still smiling, drawing me in with those empty eyes. "Whether you like it or not."
