The USA has contained all healthy citizens from the sick ones. The government has convinced everyone that the outside world is a very dangerous place. But is it true? Everyone has their doubts. And the government heads on a downward spiral when Jr. Soldiers Gale Mathesin and Vala Mininger set out to save their city from being overrun with the sickness. But will there be a bump in the road of their 'perfect' plan? No inside citizens has ever seen the outside world. Welcome to the future, written in the past. A mutant plague has rendered part of the population as zombie-like humanoids. They have a conscious mind though, but their craving for brains is a bit of an antisocial issue. Being mostly made up of impoverished individuals, it is not surprised that they got cured cheaply and lastly, despite being the main test subjects. Lochlyn is their representative. She just wanted an education beyond elementary school. A little luckier stricken part of the infected population evolved into reverents. Reverants have a feudal system over the zombies to "keep them in order". The luck may have had to do with them being upper-class when being treated. Basilica is their representative. At eighteen, she wanted body modifications, a job, and etc... as a rite of passage entering adulthood. At least that's what she was thinking. The more she was told no, the more she wondered what she could do. There are still uninfected humans left in the U.S.A. Most of them are middle-class. Katrina is their representative. She gained a family member, but lost two. She aches to find out why she can never return home again. The three eighteen-year-old females, along with their beaus, journey for truth, equality, justice, restoration, love, and freedom lead them to the same end: the capital. The Peacekeepers: Secret War by Puzzler_23
15 parts Complete Mature
Christian theologian and philosopher Augustine of Hippo once said, "The purpose of all war is peace". In the world we live in today, this saying is one much too true. The Great War, the Second World War, the Vietnam War... these are all examples of such a catastrophe. Which ever one is made topic for discussion, the results are still the same - millions dead, and if not, suffering the aftermath. Despite all this, the sacrifices weren't in vain, as the necessary peace was kept. However, a war rages on, and this time, it could end the world. Two secret organizations, the Peacekeepers, who makes it its mission to protect the world, and the Southpaw, who's bent on destroying it. Hiroyuki Watanabe, a fellow Peacekeeper, is part of this war. A soldier, one too young. Along with his team of brave souls, the boy endeavors to end this secret war, before it ends humanity. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's Note: This was and still is my very first story. To elaborate even further, it was also my first time writing anything at all. My original intentions were to test the waters and see how it appeals to any and every reader that comes across it. So having mentioned that, it might not even count as a 'story', it more or less can be looked at as a 'prototype' of one. For any factual inaccuracies or misrepresentation of real-world concepts and ideas, those are on me, and I apologize if ever. I myself am still learning and trying to get the hang of things. On the other hand. This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
Z Diaries by ElaraEsmeray
6 parts Ongoing
A virus spread throughout the whole world without anyone realizing until it was too late. People were turning into zombies, flesh-eating human corpses. The government desperate for salvation opened its hidden bunkers. Some fled to other countries for a higher chance of safety. Some died on the way to those said bunkers. Some turned to those creatures they were running from. Those who are lucky and rich enough to enter the bunkers are now momentarily safe and hidden wherever those bunkers are. But it's only a matter of time before those bunkers break. While many were left outside, fighting for their lives and trying to survive, they were sleeping in comfort inside those metal havens. Unbeknownst to those who were safely enjoying themselves inside, there was something more outside, waiting for the bunkers to open. Ziya, who wanted to find her sisters, started to travel. At first, she was alone until a few people found her and became her companions while traveling the dangerous highways. How they manage to trust her despite being aloof, she doesn't know. But they knew she was a great help to them. With her unnatural instinct and calmness while fighting the zombies despite being half blind she was pretty useful to let her go. They kept asking other questions but eventually stopped when they realised they won't receive answers anytime soon. They were just letting her join them because she's useful and they felt guilty leaving her alone. To her defense, she doesn't trust them, and she doesn't want them to trust her. She thinks they're a bit stupid for letting her join but staying quiet about it. She just wanted to stay alive and find her sisters. And she just needs to keep her own secrets and lengthen her patience. •Cover edited by me. •Photo of Sofia Isella from Pinterest.
TILL DEATH DO US PART by Buttercupssunflowers
51 parts Complete Mature
[COMPLETED: Book two in the works] **Disclaimer: This book was written on impulse, out of the creativity of my rotting mind. Take that as you will. Will have darker themes as its setting is based in a dystopian/apocalyptic society. Readers please be at least 16+.** "Finally, I could get a look at his face as his eyes scanned over the landscape and it wasn't long before his eyes met mine. Ba-dump. I felt my heart thump in my chest. I stared openly at him. My eyes wide and full of curiosity and anticipation. He was everything that I had been searching for. I lifted my hands when I saw his grip tighten on his knife and showed that I was not going to attack him and meant no harm. But his green eyes only narrowed with skepticism and suspicion. He looked like he was ready to kill me, while it was all over for me, I was beginning to believe in the corny idea of love at first sight. I was already set on capturing his heart and becoming his partner. He was perfect." - Mila, a lone survivor, obsesses over the idea of finding love and fulfilling her childhood dream to get married before the world ends. Finally she meets the guy of her dreams, another survivor named Everett. But as they reluctantly band together they find surviving against the human rabies virus to be the least of their worries. Instead, they must face a Facility that poses as a utopia for survivors and uncover its darker secrets. Will their lives end before she can accomplish her dream to fall in love?
Operation Raccoon City by ToxicRawr7869

Same as my other 4 books I wrote Resident evil 0, 1, 2 and 3. This is Operation Raccoon City, I will be watching the gameplay on youtube, since I do not own this game. (It does tie super well with the storyline, especially of Resident Evil 2 and 3) I will be writing it through, some in my own words and some as per the game. I am not going into deep, deep details either... Like this is just a enjoyment for me to write and publish for the heck of it. It's not going to be perfect. There is no movies or books that I seen that are really close to the games, story type. Took it into my own hands basically. If you like it you like it if not then not. I'm writing this because I adore Resident Evil games and felt like it would be fun for me to play and write about the story of the games. (It is copywritten from the game) (Rights reserved to capcom) (This book is 100% completed.) (I do not own the game so I could not get images of the specific areas that they visited...) Now the people that have never played the games here is what this one is about... The U.S.S. Team was deployed to get rid of any evidence of Umbrella Corporation being involved in the outbreak. They go through numerous challenges throughout the whole time there in the city getting rid of all the evidence and some of team seem to be willing to backstab Umbrella. Hmm wonder how that will play out for them... SpecOps Echo Six, an elite group from the U.S. Government. They were deployed to contain the incident and neutralize it. As well as rescue civilians and get information on Umbrella. Faced with a bunch of Bioweapons every step they take as well and U.S.S Solder's. Will they survive?
