Wish's Desire
On Alcestis, everything has a price.
Wish has spent years surviving inside Desire, a pleasure house where powerful people speak freely around those they have paid to ignore. Beautiful, observant, and dangerously good at pretending, he secretly sells their secrets in exchange for one promise:
Freedom.
Then a final assignment sends him into the home of one of the most dangerous men in Midas.
He is supposed to enter, steal what he can, and leave unseen.
Instead, Wish discovers something that should never have existed-and something inside it chooses him.
Now he is being hunted, the man who promised to save him may have his own agenda, and Wish can no longer be certain where his body ends and the thing awakening within him begins.
He has survived his entire life by becoming what others wanted.
But what will he become when survival is no longer enough?
P.S. To everyone who already read the first version of Wish's Desire:
First of all, thank you for returning to this story.
I strongly recommend reading it again from the beginning, because this new version is far more than a simple edit. I have changed almost everything surrounding the pacing, character development, story details, background, atmosphere, and worldbuilding.
Looking back, I felt that the original world and its characters were still too underdeveloped, while the story moved too quickly and relied too heavily on action for the kind of plot and atmosphere I wanted to create.
Because of that, I deleted entire chapters, added completely new ones, expanded important scenes, changed major parts of the story, developed the characters and world more deeply, and revised the overall writing style.
To put the extent of the changes into perspective: the original version had approximately 66,000 words. This new version has around 80,000 words.
So even if you remember the original story, there is a great deal here that you have never read before.
I hope you enjoy discovering this new version of Wish's story
