The apocalypse is movie stuff. They've seen 'Interstellar'. It doesn't happen to normal people, does it? Mickey's just a spoilt Hollywood brat, after all. They don't know anything. So, why is it the end of the world brings out the best in them? Why are they finding themself becoming a hero?
And what is it about Mickey that makes Ray want to be stronger? Better? This is the end of the frickin world! Not some soppy love story. But when all their searching for answers leads to only more questions, the one constant in his life is always the angry, fearless blonde.

From the moment they meet they know they need to get to see each other in person. That proves to be a bit hard since the two are separated by the Baltic and North seas as well as one, big Atlantic ocean. This fact continues to depress the two... how will they figure it out? "I'm sorry, but I'm a rainstorm. I don't want you to be caught in that". "You're my perfect rainstorm". It doesn't make sense. How is any of it possible? Where does the plot line link? Why care about some random teen aliens? Oh, God, why does it get dark so fast?
