Elizabeth Lovett is your average, run-of-the-mill high school student. She does well at school, goes to the occasional party and has a best friend that she confides completely in. But overall, she's no-one you'd necessarily pick out of a crowd. 

Derek Sanderson is the exact opposite. A popular, charming, good-looking playboy, he is essentially high school royalty and he knows it. Guys idolise him and girls flock to him. 

Getting whoever you want, whenever you want them, can get boring though and when Derek inevitably turns his attention towards a girl who won't fall for his sweet talk, Elizabeth just might be the key to his success. 

Yes, lies may be told and feelings might get hurt but all's fair in love and war, right? However, no story is one sided and love can be complicated. Sometimes, you just have to get tough.
