Carter is a 17 year old girl and she has a best friend. They did everything together when they were little. When Carter turned 12 her best friend moved away for 5 years. During those 5 years, Carter became depressed. She used to smile through the pain, but then she stopped. She didn't see why she had to smile through the pain any more. Why waist a smile? Carter's parents knew she was depressed and they didn't know what to do about it. During the summer, Carter has a job at the local pool. One day while she was at work, something changed the rest of her life. Life was good for about four months until she was kidnapped and it changed her. She couldn't trust any one, only one person.
