"Guys!" Caiman panted, chasing after her soaring friends. "I can't fly." She frowned. Sorrowful glided besides Caiman, saying "Then we'll run, but by all means we have to get out of here. Now." The rest of their team landed swiftly and began running. Why are they trying to kill us when all we did was rescue their entire tribe?

The Winged
Surviving can be difficult when you're only a few inches tall. Fanged beasts see you as their prey, every creature is bigger than you, and the world seems to work against small things. Not to mention the struggles of getting from place to place... but the worst of it all? Humans. Once a year, every year, summer sweeps over the forest. The sun warms the leaves and the damp melts away until the world of the Winged flourishes. Those warm months are when survival becomes the hardest. Drawn by the beauty of the forest, humans of all kind invade the already dangerous home of the small Winged people. Fear of these monsters is shared throughout the tribes. One sacred piece of advice is known: avoid humans at all costs. The Forest
Ernwood Forest is home to people living hidden from the prying eyes of humans; the Winged and their tribes. These people stand no taller than a few centimetres off the ground, meaning that things can sometimes get a little difficult... especially when humans are involved. But life isn't all bad. For the first time ever, Azure and the tribes have a human of their own protecting them from the sinister forces beyond the edge of the trees. As the months of winter roll in, nights are growing longer and snow has settled on the leafless branches. The forest is still. The only humans anyone expects to see are the few that know of the tiny people's existence. But the tribes are not alone in the forest anymore. The abductions begin. The past awakens. And a long forgotten shadow falls over the forest. Azure and the others once again find themselves having to fight to prevent their family from being ripped apart- only this time, things are different. This time, even the humans are in danger. ❤️❤️ Updates: When I can ahh❤️❤️ ⚠️ Mild fear/ violence warning --- This is the third part to this little trilogy :) I would recommend reading the other parts first if you can suffer through them. Alone Together
This story really starts in the middle. Ari, who often goes by A, is propped up against a tree in the middle of a forest with a dagger in her stomach. She's lost a lot of blood already, and she keeps losing more. Helios is kneeling next to her, and they're both trying to figure out what to do. I'll start at the beginning, though. Ari is a wanderer, traveller, adventurer, and lots of other things. She doesn't have a home, until one day she does. She's chased into the Akiire territory by the Akiire's enemies; the Tesera. Luckily for her, the chief of the Akiire tribe takes her in. Akiire medicine men and women fuss over her until they're sure she's safe. Then the Akiire initate her as a member of their tribe. She gladly accepts. She's started to like it there, after all. Then Helios starts talking to her. He's nothing special in the tribe. He's a good warrior, but all the warriors are good. The bad ones have already died. Nonetheless, by the time we get to the forest with the dagger and all that, A has only spoken to Helios a few times. Now he's her only way to stay alive.Complete

"Hey, guys," Jake called. "Yeah?" I asked. "Do you see that-" "Run!!!" Alastair cried, turning around and bolting toward us. I looked ahead to see that he was running from. "What the hell are-" I started, but Tatum cut me off. "They're birds, you dumbass! Run!" She shouted, pulling me along with her. They were squawking and getting closer, and we all ran faster.
