This story is inspired by Crystal Scherer's story Upon Wings Of Change. Be aware that I added my little twist to it so it's not an exact replica of her work.

Living within the confines of walls never bothered Almond. At least she has her siblings by her side. The day that the ground shook beneath the pups' paws would make itself known to their fragile minds as the beginning of a new era. An era of aliens and fire lizards.

Our small forms rush out into the darkness of twilight. The bright speckles of light against the dark sky don't have time to be acknowledged as another tremor shakes the ground beneath our paws. It trips both Sun and Twig who let out cries of terror. They quickly get back up and dash after the rest of us.

Together, we run in search of shelter. The lack of long term exercise makes itself known when my muscles become shaky and weak beneath me. As my surroundings shake again, I lose my footing and a sharp tingling pain stabs into my right shoulder.

My snout is met with a mouthful of dirt which gets caught in the back of my throat. Unable to chase after my panicking siblings and struggling to breath, more fear adds to the jumble of emotions bouncing around in my head. Pain from my strained muscles, terror due to the ear shattering screams in the distance, fear of possibly choking to death, losing my brothers and sisters, and living alone for the rest of my life. All struggling over the other for more space.

After what feels like years, the scratchy substance of the ground is coughed up and spat out. I catch my breath as everything around me goes through another series of rumbles, screams finally relieving my flattened ears. All goes quiet and the shaking stops. Insects stay silent, birds stay hidden, all that I manage to pick up is the sporadic sound of my heart beat and breathing.

"Some truths don't set you free. They set you on fire." They told me not to open that book. They warned me with stories-old, crusty ones-about madness, about secrets best left untouched. They said the library's far wing was cursed. That the books in that section didn't whisper wisdom-they screamed. But curiosity has a strange way of settling into your bones, especially when you've lived your entire life inside walls built from someone else's truths. My name? It doesn't matter-not yet. This story isn't about names. It's about what was forgotten deliberately. And how I found it. I wasn't born a rebel. I didn't want to challenge kingdoms or rewrite history. I just wanted to understand who I was, why I felt out of place, and what those strange dreams meant. The ones with burning skies and voices calling me by a name no one else knew. This isn't a tale of heroes and villains. It's messier than that. It's about a girl who found a truth so big, it didn't fit into her world. And maybe-just maybe-it won't fit into yours either. But I'll tell it anyway. Because stories like this-whispers like these-were never meant to stay silent. Disclaimer This is a work of fiction. *Book 3 of Reuniting The Council Series* Maya once was a slave to rogues, all her life in fact. But one day that all changed. The day that Crystal showed up, taking Maya away from her horrible life. Crystal takes Maya on a journey, keeping who she really was a secret. And keeping on the move the whole time a secret also. Little taste of the book :)~~~Walking down several halls, I finally come to the metal door of the dungeons. Walking through, power flows off of me in waves of bone chilling darkness, all of those pathetic little prisoners cower away back into the corners of their cells like smart little rats, except two. "I will never bow to you ever again!" Yells Maya. "Neither will I!" Shouts Crystal Chuckling, "Well sooner or later, little heirs. You will bow to me. It may not be today, possibly not even tomorrow, but you never know. My methods are extremely effective. Especially when it comes to such...breakable little participants. I'm sure you'll both be more than willing." I give them a toothy grin, oh how I can't wait to hear their screams, the cracking of their bones, the dripping of their blood as they submit and remember who is truly in charge of this world. Of them. "I WILL NEVER BOW TO YOU! YOU SICK BASTARD! LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR OWN BROTHER! HE'S ON HIS DEATHBED! RIGHT AS WE SPEAK! WE'VE ESCAPED YOUR MEN AND WE CAN DO IT AGAIN!" Crystal full on screams out at me, close to tearing her throat raw from shouts.~~~ What is Crystal keeping a secret? But the real question is, who is Maya? She has no last name, so who is her family? Where will their adventures take them? You never know until the end. Don't be surprised if their comes a twist plot! :D This series will go between different super naturals views. Through there journeys until the last book which, I wont uncover until later on.

(H20Delirious X Fem. Reader) "wιll we вe ғree?" I asked He smiled, thats what I'm after. The smile on his face and sound of his laughter. "we wιll вe ғree тogeтнer! yoυ and мe!" He answered ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Being an orphan, you don't have a lot of experience's or happy memories. Especially if your orphanage uses you for human experiments. The pain...the agony- the screams of the other kids I once called friends and played with...all gone and replaced with despair. Only teddy could keep me company and keep me sane. Till one day, a new boy was brought in and he was strange. But he interested the kids, even the scientists. He was placed in my room and he never spoke a word to anyone. He would wake up in the middle of the night and gasp for air like if there never was any. But he was my friend. Things changed and a few years later, the orphanage was attacked. Two people came in and killed the scientists but spared the children. While making an attempt to escape, I was caught by the remaining scientists and taken away. The screams of my friend echoing behind me as I tried to escape... Such a waste as I became strong and have long forgotten those memories. But side effects came with the experiments they played with. Y/N is the name and being psychotic is my game. Don't try to catch me cause I can read you like a book in a grand library. Secrets are never kept when the walls an objects around you speak your truth... ╭⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯╮ First Published: June 25, 2021

(Part of Katrina's POV) "Well well well. If it isn't Miss Katrina and her boyfriend Nathan MC Scrub," The voice says. I realize who it is. "Shut up, Hunter," Nathan growles. I look at Hunter. He hadn't changed a bit. But behind Hunter, I see Karina. I see her mouthing, 'I'm so sorry... I tried to... ' and I mouth back, 'it'll be alright...' "Nathan, this was long overdue!" Hunter shouts at Nathan. For a second, I dont understand what he's talking about. But then I realize once Karina hands Hunter a spear shamefully and Hunter aims it at Nathan, but right before he throws it, he looks at Karina. "Would you like to do the honors, My lady?" I see all the blood drain out of Karina's face. I can tell that she doesn't want to. Time stops. Karina stays still, motionless, spear in her hand. "Oh, forget it!" Hunter grabs the spear back out of Karina's hands, and when he throws the spear, and I think it's all over. But before the spear reaches Nathan, He takes one of my arrows and throws it at Hunter. They both collapse to the ground. Nathan is lying in a pool of blood, a spear struck through his heart, and Hunter is also gone, an arrow through his neck. It was all over. ~Karina's POV~ I want to cry. But I can't. I was told never to cry. It made no difference. But I wanted to. I tried but nothing came out. I looked at the remains of the two brothers. It made me so angry. I took the arrow out of Hunter's neck. I stabbed his heart over, and over again. Every stab felt like it was saying, your fault, all your fault.

In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline. A solemn tear forms in my eye as he wipes his face, another tear falling for the family he lost. I love him. Utterly and desperately so, but, there's nothing I can do about that. The ultimate forbidden fruit, if you will. I reach to comfort him and he doesn't respond. I open my mouth to speak and he looks my way, but the gleam in his dark brown eyes hits the moonlight just right and I fall. My voice escapes my throat and I can't do it. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually. All this time, I hopelessly remained devoted to a ghost who had given the best of himself to a fiery red-head with a sassy personality and the body of a supermodel. For 10 years, I held to the desperate thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone I could count on. Instead, I watched him marry my best friend, smiled as they welcomed their son. Stood, holding that beautiful boy as his mother was in the first round of executions after the beginning of the Revelation. Helped heal Will's wounds in the aftermath. Cried, clutching the tear-stained shirt of my best friend as his son took his last staggering breath in that first harsh winter. The guilt of my emotions crawl through me. My heart twisting in regret, guilt, desperation, and grief. I loved my best friend. She was so much more than that; she was my family. In this dystopian quick read, join a group of people desperate to recapture their freedom and end a tyrant's reign.

*Warning ahead content contains animal abuse It was dimmed. I couldn't see. Oh, but I could smell. The sweet scents all around me. Then I smelled her. I immediately knew who she was. My mother. My creator. I went over to her screaming my way between my two siblings. Although I was just a puppy, I could recognize my surroundings. When I was finished drinking the milk from my mother, I moved away. I felt a hard surface underneath me. There were plenty of other scents too. One that smelled delicious. I also couldn't hear, but I could feel movement. I was removed from the hard surface and handed a much softer place. There were these weird bumps over the softer surface. It moved me around, and I was set back down in place on the floor. A couple of weeks passed though I couldn't feel it. Each day felt as if I was still a newborn. Time was not essential in my mind. As I got older, my senses started to sharpen. I could see and hear, but the one thing I couldn't see was color. All I saw was black and gray. My mother was very furry, but so was I. I would often smell her, and I liked how her scent smelled sweet. When I could, I would find food around a dumpster. We were learning more as we got older. I had two sisters and two brothers, as I was one of the girls. We spoke to each other often, my siblings and me. "Let's go, children." Mother said to us in a soft voice. We knew how to communicate. When we fought over food mother, would tell at us. I didn't like being in trouble. I was usually quiet. One day I learned the soft surface that I had encountered was a human hand. I had felt that same surface when a human came up to us. The human loaded all of us in their vehicle. We came upon this strange building. The human let us out in this strange building. There were many scents. I couldn't place them all at once. I concentrated on one specific scent. Strawberry. It smelled so sweet, and it started to hurt my nose.

[Complete - under editing] (A fan's side story of Upon Wings of Change) *I thank Crystal Scherer for the wonderful book that inspired this run off story that takes place in the same universe! I dedicate this story as a gift to her and all her readers!* Aspen wasn't the only one to be kidnapped and turned into a dragonet, but she WAS the only one who had a something to hide, outside of their human intelligence. Armed with nothing but the wings on her back and the claws on her feet, Aspen did her best just to survive her new environment. But just as she was starting to get used to her surroundings and her newly acquired skills, the rug is pulled out from underneath her once again. Now with the looming threat of aliens, aliens, and more aliens, Aspen has even more piled onto her already overflowing plate. Sneak peak: It wasn't fair. And knowing that unfairness was just part of life, didn't make me feel any better. Life had dealt us a hand of rotting lemons and all I wanted to do was throw them and make life take them back. But I couldn't. I was stuck with these rotting lemons and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get rid of them. (Quick disclamer: Most characters within this story are my own. The universe is not mine. I might have slipped from cannon an intsy tiny bit. My story in no way rips off Crystal Scherer's original story of Upon Wings of Change. Only builds upon it. Please read the original before reading this side story or else it might not make a whole lot of sense. Also read the original because it's AMAZING.) (Going through editing! Chapters with a single star ☆ have been edited and revised. Chapters with two stars ☆☆ are completely new! Editing will start with the first chapter and end with the last.) Idea started June 16 2018 Started writing June 25th 2018 First chapter posted Nov. 29 2018 First Fanart given Jan. 20 2019 Last part posted March 15 2019
