Gildersmoke is more than a city-it is a machine, grinding forward on gears of ambition, industry, and blood. Floating above it, Aethercrest's elite rule from their skyborne towers, while deep below, the Rust Docks and the Gutter fester with the discarded, the rebellious, and the forgotten. In the heart of it all lies The Ebon Mirage, a sanctuary of vice, power, and deception-where fortunes are won, secrets are gambled, and history is rewritten in shadows. But something ancient has stirred. When Nora Blackwood and Cass Dreymore take control of The Ebon Mirage, they find themselves entangled in a deadly game of power and prophecy. The discovery of the Eidolon Shard-a relic of impossible energy-turns Gildersmoke into a battlefield. Every faction, from the Ashgilt Syndicate's debt lords to House Valtieri's machine-masters, seeks to claim it. The Veilwardens whisper of the danger it poses, while rogue scholars speak of lost knowledge hidden in the city's depths. Yet, Gildersmoke is not the only player in this war. Across the world, great cities awaken to the storm brewing in Aethercrest. Varkhala, The Merchant-Kings' Jewel, where assassins wield weapons that never miss. Cauldrith, The City of Aetheric Glass, where time itself bends and knowledge comes at the cost of identity. Ironmere, The Titan's Anvil, where sentient machines whisper in the dark. Selvaris, The Blooming Labyrinth, where magitech and nature have merged into something... unnatural. Ebonreach, The City Beneath the Tides, where a relic capable of erasing history itself has resurfaced.

'They pulled the chair across from me out and sat in it. The tavern carried on when the figure made themselves comfortable. My grip tightened on the hilt of the dagger. They pulled the hood of their cloak off and unclasped it. Their movements were relaxed and unhurried. I ran my eyes over him. He had strange black, swirling tattoos on his neck and long, pointed ears. His clothes were plain. I crossed my arms and sat back in my seat, keeping my eyes on his piercing midnight blue ones. He cocked an eyebrow. "Well?" I narrowed my eyes. "Well, what?" "What's your business here?" "I should be asking you that, considering you silenced a room by being in it." "Fair enough." He paused as the bartender brought another tankard over. "I'm looking for a travel companion." His voice was as deep as the shadows surrounding us. "You're an elf... Don't they prefer to travel on their own?" "Fae," he corrected as he pulled a pipe out of thin air. A black wisp of smoke surrounded his hand as he did so. "But yes, we do. I, however, have had enough of my thoughts being my only company." I nodded. "So?" He raised his eyebrows. I shook my head sadly. "This is something I need to do. Alone." "Alright." He looked a bit disappointed, which was odd, considering we had just met. ' What happens when you're going to kill the Unnamed One and meet a mysterious fae on your journey? Do you trust him, or leave him? And what do you do when you find out what he's been hiding? Iowyn Aedithas is on a quest to save her guild. A quest that could potentially be lethal for her. She's an awfully brave (some would say naive) human to be doing this. Demons have been attacking her guild, and she's had enough. She meets Evaris, the mysterious fae, on her journey and he becomes her travel companion. When they reach their destination, he reveals information that's previously been held close.

Where Shadows Are Born

12 parts Ongoing Mature

Seren Vale is a ghost in the night. An assassin with no past, no future-only the next target. Until a contract goes terribly wrong. Sent to kill a human king, Seren instead finds him dead - presumably from fae magic-and before she can escape, she is captured by Riven Duskbane, heir to the Unseelie Court. A prince of shadows and nightmares, Riven claims she is more than she seems. That the darkness inside her- the way that shadows had always seemed to taunt her were more than just her imagination. Dragged into the heart of Duskmere, the Unseelie capital, Seren is thrown into a world of dangerous politics and ancient magic, where enemies lurk behind every mask and the truth of her past is buried beneath blood and lies. As tensions rise between the mortal realm and the fae courts, Seren is forced into an uneasy alliance with Riven. But the longer she fights beside him, the harder it becomes to ignore the pull between them-a connection that could shatter everything she believes in.
