Jacob Black never expected a second chance. After everything he's endured-the loss, the scars, the weight of a past he can't outrun-he's built his life around one purpose: protecting his son. Love? That's a luxury he can't afford. But then there's Amber-the fiery, independent farm owner who sees more than just the burdens he carries. She wasn't supposed to matter. She wasn't supposed to make him feel again. Yet, with every stolen moment, every unguarded glance, Jacob starts to wonder if happiness isn't as out of reach as he thought. Still, shadows from the past don't disappear so easily. And when old wounds resurface, Jacob will have to decide-does he keep running from what haunts him, or take a leap of faith and fight for the life he never thought he could have? A story of healing, love, and the courage to start again. Because sometimes, the hardest battle isn't with the past-it's believing you deserve a future.
