love, faith, and joy
A woman sat alone in a circular room, staring down at a picture of three newborn girls. They all had "A's" on their blankets. Suddenly, her fingers tingled. She put the picture away and crossed her arms, staring out the window. A man busted through the door, livid. "Where are they?" The man walked purposefully through the door, angry and nervous.
"Where are who?" The woman purred, batting her eyelashes innocently. The man glared and cracked his knuckles. "This isn't a game, Aphrodite! Where the Hades did you bring them? Zeus wants to see them before they're brought to the mortal world!"
"Ohhh, that's too bad... they're gone." Aphrodite grinned and leaped over the desk, landing in front of him.
"Don't worry, Poseidon. They'll be fine where they are. We won't die out. They are the key." Aphrodite and Poseidon both turned, startled, to see Artemis and Apollo walk into the room. Apollo grinned and punched Poseidon in the arm. "They're good girls. They'll save us. We won't fade into the Void. The fates have said that they'll solve everything!"
Poseidon looked at him and sighed, exasperated. "What did they ACTUALLY say, Apollo?"
Artemis looked up and stared Poseidon directly in the eyes. "The three shall be born of pureness and innocence; fury will run through their veins. Love, Faith, and Joy will unite the worlds and saved the lost; yet Darkness, Confusion, and Lust will stand in their way. Be not afraid of the unknown, be afraid of the Lost." Then she looked at her brother, and the divine twins looked down sadly.
"Meaning?" Aphrodite spoke up, irritated.
Artemis and Athena walked over and each stared out the window. Athena closed her eyes and sighed. "Meaning things could get a little hot."
Aphrodite snickered. "That's exactly how I like it.....HOT!"
Artemis rolled her eyes. "Wow, mature, Aphrodite."
The footsteps grew louder. The two young goddesses felt the vibrations beneath their feet. The younger one scurried to the door and waved her hand...
"What have you done?" She exclaimed. Her friend refused to look at her and she grabbed her shoulders to turn her around. "What did you do, my friend?!"
"Good must triumph over evil! Love conquers all!" Tears streamed down her friend's face as she said those words. "You do think that it is so, right?"
Her friend shook her head, "Master once said: when there is good, there is evil. Evil brings out the goodness in men, the good ..."
.....
The shiny blade that glowed under the moonlight...
The girl with a scar on her forehead... looking at her... terrified...
The overturned crescent shaped scar on the girl's forehead...
She pleaded... then screamed hard...
The goddess forced her eyes open, just as the guards burst through the doors. Then, there was a brilliant burst of flames that engulfed her. She tried to scream - but she couldn't hear her voice. She could only hear the cries of her kind friend, trying hard to get to her by pushing herself through the swarm of guards.
