All children have their imaginary friends, its a completely normal stage of life. However when you're a little girl who's imaginary friend isn't so imaginary, people think you're missing a couple screws considering you're the only one who sees him. Mr. Styles isn't real they tell Sage. But she knows that isn't quite true, he has to be. How else would he be able to always tell her how beautiful she is and hug her while she sleeps? 12 years in the mental hospital in a padded room, is sure to make her realise, Mr. Styles is not her friend.
