He was aware of the sins of men, and the sins in his own heart, and justice was chasing him. Would he save the child, before he was swallowed up?
In March of 1829, the falsely accused Edmond Dantes escaped his prison, the Chateaux D'if, and shortly after he found the treasure of Monte Cristo. Now, with his coffers full, he began the decade long process of exacting his methodical revenge on those that stole his life.
Here is a chance meeting between this supposed count and this true convict. Justice and mercy meet in a Parisian tavern one cold October night in 1829. Let us lean in and listen.
