For James Sumner, winding up in a small island thousands of nautical miles away from home was not part of the plan. But it seems that the only way to forget and move on from his failed engagement was to finally indulge his Grandmother's insistent request of having him visit her after many years.
What he did not expect is the town folks believed in mermaids, so much that he didn't know whether to believe it or laugh.
When a typhoon washed over the shores of the island bringing garbage, cargo bits, and oil spills, James and the rest of the town were tasked to clean up.
Who knew that such a disaster could warrant an encounter with a mermaid. A very injured mermaid. James didn't believe in such a thing, but he knew she needed his help.

Scott was a siren who lived with this friends (as his family was dead) in the waters near a small town. Scott often hung with the sailors while he also sold coral and fish in town for food and money. They both lived very different lives. Their futures were all ready set. That was until they met. When Martyn laid his eyes on Scott fate changed. Will they ever be together? Or are their lives too different And set paths too far away? (This might go unfinished up it will be my summer goal to finish it so I hope I do and wether I do or not I hope you enjoy, also trust the process as it starts in 1st person but turns 3rd when it gets more into the story)Complete

Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat.
