Iyad Fakhri Is an Accomplished Doctor of Internal Medicine

Iyad Fakhri is a native of Syria and began his career in medicine at the University of Damascus School of Medicine. He completed the medical doctor program in 1996 and then became a primary care physician for the Syrian Ministry of Health for two years.

During that time, he provided careful treatment to patients and contributed to major research projects. The first concerned preventative care for elementary school children and the second helped develop better diagnostic criteria for patients presenting with chest pain symptoms to help rule out coronary artery disease more accurately. He also published a book on kidney diseases in 1996.

Iyad Fakhri has always believed in getting to know his patients and paying close attention to their symptoms, taking extra steps to fully explore their conditions, and providing personalized care to every patient. Once Iyad arrived in the United States he started taking courses to ensure he could continue providing the best treatment possible. He attended Computer Skills courses in Dallas, Texas at Richland college before moving to Philadelphia for his Clinical Skills Assessments and Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certification.
