"Shoot him!" thundered Duke Crawford. Jason's mouth went dry. His heart punched against his ribs. He stole a glance at the crowd, hoping someone would come to his aid. They watched him intensely, eyes capturing his every move, but they were all motionless. No one would help him. Slowly, he lifted the gun. The prisoner turned his head and cracked open a swollen eye. His nostrils flared with each breath and his body stiffened. Jason closed his finger on the trigger. Sweat ran down his arm and filled his palm. He gripped the weapon until his knuckles went white to keep it from slipping from his hand. Pull the trigger and this would all be over... ***** The future is a desolate wasteland, and all because of something Jason Lamont did in his past. Now, he must choose to confront the evil Duke Crawford, or bend to the will of chaos and allow his friends to suffer a gruesome end of his own making. ***** A world at war. A man searching for his destiny. The fate of the humanity at stake. Welcome to the future. Welcome To Nowhere.

We have always been destined to rise above our already fascinating sentience; To evolve into something greater than we now are. Change is a fundamental essence of the reality we live in today, an aspect of life that has been here for centuries. A strand in our beautiful nature that we have learned to despise. As the saying goes, 'People are afraid of what they don't understand'. People tend to fight back against change and others embrace it. When the chance of evolution finally reveals itself to us, on what side will we be on? The side that chooses to let it soar the skies, or the side that chooses to use it selfishly? Humans are magnificent creatures, not because of their awareness of life. But for their capability to unite and divide themselves because they choose to do so. (This trilogy is dedicated to those oppressed by the violence and suffering that discrimination may bring upon them.) April 19th, 2020
