Darkness.
The forest laid silent; the moonlight illuminating the white flowers laying sporadically along the tree line. The urge to move forward, to run into that enticing unknown. A land of freedom, no one to see or to judge, to simply go forward within desire and explore all that the forest has to offer.
Staring into nothingness, slowly moving forward, itching to just run straight in. Temptation burning me from the inside out.
My pace picked up, footsteps growing louder, leaves crunching beneath my bare feet, no sense of pain to be felt at my soles. The only thing I could feet was the forest calling to me.
A sudden snap catches my attention away from the forest. My eyes quickly divert themselves to behind me.
There stood a wolf.
Eyes almost glowing from the reflection of the moonlight. As green as the leaves upon the branches of the trees; an entity connected to the wilderness.
The wolf turned its head towards the trees, I could only assume a similar sense of enticement was within the wolf as well.
The wolf ran in, disappearing as the moon became covered with the clouds, leaving everything as it once was.
Darkness.

The woman standing before Shade stole every ounce of cognition from him. She was stunning, the moon paled in comparison. The top of her head would not even graze his chin. Her height did not stop her from being imposing. A dark blue vest clung to her chest reveling taught skin over lean muscle. The black leather pants hung low on her hips, exposing soft flesh. Her gaze roamed the crowd, surveying the stupidity around her. After a moment she finally turned attention in his direction. When her gaze met his, it stopped heart. The dark blue pools shone in the dim light, dark as the night sky. She blew a strand of silver out of her face. Shade's wolf surged to the surface, and they growled. They itched to touch her skin, bury our face in her hair, to feel its softness and inhale its sweet scent. They wanted to stare into her night eyes. She needed to be theirs. ---- Eska's eyes found Shade quickly. He pushed through crowd, pulling his jacket off and threw it to the stocky blonde at his side. She spoke in low frantic words. He ignored her and climbed in the ring. Shade tugged his shirt over his head and Eska's heart skipped. This man was built like a bear. Shade's physique was reminiscent of strong man instead of a body builder. His pectorals were covered in a fine swath of dark hair that trailed down his belly disappearing into his jeans. Jeans that hugged his thighs tightly, thighs like a rugby player. Shade looked towards her quickly, a smirk filling his face, sharp canines peaking beneath his lips. He wasn't human, but she wanted him regardless.

I shuddered. It had never been so dark, nor so quiet before. There was always the light of the moon to guide me. The sound of the wind against the trees. I shook the thought from my mind and continued further into the wood. Then I saw it. A white light spread across the ground in front of me. The clouds had parted from where they were, revealing the moon at its fullest. I stared in awe. It had never been so bright. The ambiance began to come back. The wind began to dance with the trees. I closed my eyes. The scent of oak filled my nose and exhaled through my mouth. The aroma filled me with exhilaration. It filled me with something I couldn't explain. I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time. Although it was something I wasn't used to feeling, I craved it deeply. I felt happy. I felt as if nothing else mattered than this moment. I opened my eyes. Everything seemed clearer. I could see the particles of dust flying in the beam of light that shone around me. I wanted to stay here for longer. I wanted this moment to last forever. Until I saw the wolf. It was hidden among the fold of trees behind me. It stared at me in aggravation. It's brows furrowed in my direction. It's face, livid with anger, revealed a set of unpleasant and sharp teeth. It began to move slightly forward. The wolf bounded towards me. It happened so quickly I had no time to react. It's limbs outstretched. It's teeth bared. My body, paralyzed from fear, refused to move. My lip quivered, urged to call for help, but no help would come. I was too deep into the woods. No one would hear my screams. The thought was soon interrupted by the wolf's teeth digging into my side.

Do you know these two combined are great for the immune system?" He hummed against my neck, sending goosebumps all over my skin. "Fuck you." I managed to get out, glancing at him behind me. I felt his lips tilt up in a smile against my neck before he moved up to nibble at my earlobe. "That'll be nice." He chuckled in a deep sexy voice that rumbles from his chest to my body. "But some other time. Now..." His hot tongue comes out to lap at my neck in slow strokes. I bit down on my bottom lip to stop the moan that was about to break free. "I'm hungry." He darkly announced. I run through the forest as fast as I can, looking up at the large moon clearly visible in the sky. I feel the wolf within me. For once, I look forward to being a werewolf. Maybe it won't be so bad after all; I'll be able to run through the forest with my pack. ___________________________ I went out into the forest like I always did when dusk began to fall. Especially when it was a full moon, for some reason, I loved the moon, something I've always felt since I was little. The moon was magical to me, it made me think of my father, who became a vampire when I was five. I barely remembered him. Only that he had dark hair and silver-colored eyes. This is a standalone story about Sinope and Elara's children, Kore and Rhea.
