The Tower
Claire's life is simply fun and ordinary until it is announced that the world will end. The government finds a way to invent a tower that will hold all the people in the town. If you are not willing to go into the tower you will be killed. Before the tower is built rumors spread about there being an obstacle called "The Hole" that will allow all of the people who escape it freedom to go back into earth if it is still there. Have you ever dreamt of a world with no adults? admit it, you thought it would be great right? no-one to tell you what to do or tell you off, but for a young girl of the age of sixteen, this is her life. She must survive to look after her siblings and herself. The world has turned into a crazy place with tribes ruleing and with street fights and the cities damaged. Its a place where kids rule, only its how they chose to survive that can get them through in the end. P.S. the book does get better when it goes further in so if you do read it keep reading for some more action. Its also slightly a romance book as well as a science fiction, Adventure and teen fiction. I have originally written this story for NaNoWriMo 2015, and even posted it under a different name and modified to be a fanfiction. I've decided now to publish it as it was originally intended to. Bobbi is an enthusiastic mountaineer who loves the outdoors more than anything. But just before she turns sixteen she decides to climb one of the most difficult mountains there is. The experience is a game changer and she returns home to her family where she has to deal with the aftermath of what happened on the mountain, as well as trying to fit into the high school world drama that is her life now. She is socially awkward and a bit of a freak, but at the same time everyone wants to know the new girl. She falls in love with the school's hottest guy, Sam, at least in her opinion, and to her surprise the feeling is mutual. They soon discover the real people they both keep from the outside world, realizing that opening up to someone can be both liberating but also make one vulnerable. Bobbi's world is turned upside down when life strikes again. The hardship she felt on the mountain is tenfold and Bobbi feels like drowning. He pretended things were perfectly fine, but when he heard Everest was going away for the summer, he found his way of escaping, and asked his soccer teammate, if he could come.
