Rising

Before the only thing that existed was dark and light energy that could be used for the good of humanity or for humanity's downfall. They were forever warring with each other until the Lord Eth came and vanquished the dark in a battle that lasted 100 years, he trapped the dark in the Mountain of Crarib to the north. To stop this ever happening again he took a champion of each race to protect the realm in which they lived. They were called Guardians and when they died they passed their power down to the first born son to protect and help keep peace. Most of them were bound to spirit animals because they could keep them, a privilege only normally afforded to royalty. It's been 100 years since the light overcame the dark but now everything is turning upside down.
