Marceline Doe is what one might call, a normal girl. Aside from her being homeschooled, she enjoys her life in Baltimore, Maryland, surrounded by the friendly neighbourhood kids.

However, this normality is all flipped on its head when her mother is murdered in a robbery gone wrong, and she sound finds herself being shipped off to a certain city called Gotham. She didn't expect to wake up in a whole new city. Or expect to be tied to a chair. 

But she especially didn't expect to find out she was the daughter of the one and only Clown Prince of Crime.
