Ariskuno was once considered a normal city, besides being repleted with individuals possessing supernatural abilities. It's not uncommon to come across vampires, witches, or even "normal" humans with slight mutations such as fangs or abnormal eye colors. Werewolves are ESPECIALLY rare at this point in time; organizations attempting to repopulate the species have been made, but were abandoned because they were immensely difficult to identify (they look completely normal in their human form). Despite this, the city functions efficiently: schools and other public establishments have proven many times over to have high success rates.
During a bitterly cold night on January 28th, 2009, and to the complete shock of everyone, a series of gruesome murders were committed during the silent hours of the night. It was quickly concluded that all of the victims were murdered by the same person...or thing. After deeper inspections, it was revealed that each victim had a career relating to psychology or experimentation. This information put everyone on edge, and the tension only increased as more and more murders occurred.

Iluna, a rogue and aloof werewolf, has always been interested in forensics and the solving of cold cases. He attends school just as a normal boy would, but keeps his identity as a werewolf a secret in order to protect himself; only shifting forms when absolutely necessary, or when the sharper senses of a canine become of use. He rarely socializes at school, preferring to read and is much more interested in observing how the people around him behave. During his free time, he does his best to unlock the secrets of the murders through deep and elaborate searching, sniffing, and puzzle-solving.
