Hello everyone, this is Yonezawa Honobu. As I'm not capable of greeting everyone while doing 32 tasks at the same time, I'll keep things short. Compared to the previous volume "Hyouka", in some ways this volume was more relevant to the mystery genre. Parts of this story are based on actual events that I have personally experienced, though the characters are entirely fictional. Just saying this in case any of the staff involved back then end up buying this book. To lovers of mystery, I'm sure you've realized, this story is written as a tribute to Anthony Berkeley's The Poisoned Chocolates Case. [1] Agatha Christie does not come into this story, though I did contemplate incorporating some elements of her work at one time. The movie-like feel of the case is based on Abiko Takemaru's [2]Tantei Eiga (Detective Movie). Please do read it if you have the chance. Now then, there are no particular meanings for the chapter titles in this volume, though the title for chapter 5 is in a slightly different style from the rest. Yet I could not think of any title that could instill a feeling of surprise for that chapter. By the way, I think I'll tell you guys about the sushi incident next time. Plot: After the events of Frank Rogers: Private Detective and before the events of The Adventures of Agent X, Frank Rogers, who was a private detective solving mysteries with the Detective Gang, hasn't been the same after the death of Leonard Bone. So, he has been enrolled to go join the St. Insidioso Spy Academy (undercover name to prevent anyone knowing its true identity: Nebraska Academy of the Skilled) to go train hard and to go fight against the bad guys in order for it to lead clues to fight back and to take down the L.O.V.E. evil organization. With his friends by his side, they will stop at nothing to try to help him and to train to become a secret agent along with to help find a way to destroy them while avoiding problems there as he keeps getting framed for stuff he didn't do as they find out on some conspiracies to solve along with challenges that comes their way while also rivals from the evil academy sometimes winning while other times, St. Insidioso would win. Inspired off of Spy Academy book series from Scholastic, I Didn't Do It (Season 1) created by: Tod Himel and Josh Silverstein, Sherlock Holmes made by: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, James Bond made by: Ian Fleming, Detentionaire (created by: Daniel Bryan Franklin & Charles Johnston (would be used in for 2nd season onwards "Secret Agent or Mole?" and Gravity Falls made by: Alex Hirsch (but with conspiracy parts only)).
